Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (March 12, 2024) – Big Game Motorsports is bound for Cotton Bowl Speedway this weekend.

The dirt oval in Paige, Texas, hosts the World of Outlaws Texas Two-Step on Friday and Saturday. It will be the first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race at the track in a little more than two years.

“We’ve raced there a few times,” Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel said. “I feel we get rained out a lot. It’s shaped like a Haubstadt or a Tulare. We’ve been there when it’s been heavy and rough and when it’s been slick so we’ll see how it is this weekend.”

Gravel earned a World of Outlaws win at the oval in 2018. He placed seventh and fifth, respectively, in 2022. Gravel garnered results of ninth and fourth, respectively, at the track in 2021. He ended third during the World of Outlaws debut at the oval in 2016.

Last weekend’s World of Outlaws Cowtown Classic at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, rained out.

“I just want to get back into the swing of things,” he said. “We’ve only got to race at Volusia so I’m eager to get back to the track and see where everyone stacks up.

“It’s always a slow start to the year with the break between the Volusia races and the weather. Once we get to the Midwest the season seems to ramp up. You don’t really get into the swing of things until the summer comes around.”

Gravel enters this weekend leading the World of Outlaws championship standings by 12 points.
